Effective 9 September 2026. These Terms of Use govern the public 9jaBots website and browser tools operated by Ranked Technologies Ltd in Nigeria. Please read them before using the tools. If you use them for an organisation, you must have authority to act for it. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the tools.
1. Using the tools
You may use the public tools for lawful personal, educational, research and business projects, subject to these terms and the permissions for any material you use. You do not need an account on 9jaBots to use the current browser tools. Using them does not place an order for paid services.
9jaBots lets you organise local projects, annotate task demonstrations and export structured files. Projects and annotation drafts are saved in this browser; original videos remain separate. Keep your own project exports and original media. Clearing browser data, changing devices or losing access to the device can remove your saved work.
2. Your work and permissions
You retain your existing rights in material you bring to the tools and in your original contributions. Simply opening or processing a file in your browser does not transfer ownership to Ranked Technologies or grant us permission to use it for model training. Your local files are not automatically uploaded to us.
Use only material you are entitled to process and share. Obtain the permissions, participant consent or other lawful basis required for your project and its intended use. Respect copyright, database rights, map licences, confidentiality and personal data rights. Exporting a file does not create rights you did not already have. Source and permission fields record declarations; they do not verify the underlying evidence.
Do not collect or use footage through trespass, unsafe recording, unlawful surveillance or exploitation. Follow applicable data protection law when material includes people, voices, number plates or private locations. Review and redact sensitive details before sharing where necessary.
3. Our materials and published samples
The website design, branding, software and materials are owned by Ranked Technologies or their respective rights holders. These terms permit use of the public tools; they do not transfer ownership or grant a general licence to redistribute our software or use our branding. Separately licensed components remain subject to their own licences.
Dataset cards, scene notes and any licence accompanying a download govern that material. Public availability does not by itself grant redistribution, commercial-training or robot-training rights. The indoor-language fixtures are evaluation samples; the mobility task pack contains collection assignments. Contact support@ranked.ng for permissions beyond the published scope. Any separately agreed licence applies to the material it covers.
4. Interpreting outputs
Check outputs against your project requirements before relying on them. An annotation, declared review status or score is not a certification of accuracy, permission or fitness for a particular use. Authored examples demonstrate formats and methods; they do not establish representative Nigerian language or road coverage.
Timed annotations and exported instructions describe a task. Their suitability for training or evaluation depends on the source material, permissions, review quality and receiving system. The tool does not certify that an exported task is ready to control a robot.
5. Human projects through 9jaTesters
Requests for human collection, annotation, testing and review, and applications to contribute, continue on 9jaTesters. Following a link does not send your local project or media, assign a worker, create an order or guarantee paid work.
Client projects and contributor work are governed by the terms presented on 9jaTesters and any separate written agreement for that work. Scope, fees, payment, delivery, acceptance, confidentiality and reuse rights must be agreed for the project. These website terms do not replace those agreements.
Submit a project brief or apply as a contributor through 9jaTesters.
6. Responsible access
Do not interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, bypass access controls, impersonate others or use the tools to violate another person’s rights. Ordinary browsing, search-engine crawling and reasonable automated access to public pages are permitted. Respect technical rate limits and the permissions attached to downloaded material; access to a public page is not a separate licence to reuse its contents.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy policy explains browser storage, local files, hosting request information, support messages and privacy requests. Data submitted to another service is subject to that service’s privacy notice. Contact us before sending private or sensitive project material so an appropriate transfer process can be agreed.
8. Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep the tools useful and available, but may maintain, update or discontinue features. Keep independent copies of work you need. The public tools and samples are provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free outputs or suitability for every project, to the extent permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ranked Technologies is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the public tools. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits any non-excludable consumer or data protection rights. Responsibility for separately contracted services is addressed in the relevant agreement.
9. Changes, questions and governing law
We will publish changes to these terms here with an updated effective date. Changes apply prospectively; they do not alter a signed project agreement or a licence already granted. Review the current terms when starting a new project.
Nigerian law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory rights and protections that apply to you. Please contact support@ranked.ng with questions or complaints so we can seek a resolution. Nothing here prevents you from approaching a competent court or regulator.
